Hi there! It’s nice to meet you.
I’m Callie, and I like to talk…a lot. (Can’t say you weren’t warned)
I have an amazing husband who won me over with his incredible accent. We have 4 little people running around the house, and not a single day is boring or quiet in our home. If it’s quiet, someone is doing something they shouldn’t be.
I started A Little More Southern back in 2013 after I moved from south Alabama to New Zealand, which is in the Southern Hemisphere. I literally moved further south, and that’s how the name A Little More Southern came to be. Originally, I intended to use my little corner of the internet as a way to connect with family and friends back home, but I quickly learned potential New Zealand expats were interested in what I had to say. While I enjoyed talking about being an expat, it wasn’t what I really wanted to focus on. A couple of kids, re-brands, and long blogging breaks later you have today’s version of A Little More Southern.
What Can You Expect?
You can expect me to get off topic from time-to-time, but I will mostly control myself and stick to homeschooling, homemaking, food, and family. If you’re not a homeschooler, I have you covered, too. The big girl isn’t homeschooled. I know all about the struggles you face with mainstream schooling. What else can you expect? My real-talk. I’m not going to pretend to be someone I’m not. I’m not a helicopter mom, I’m not perfect, and I’m not going to judge you. I know we’re all here doing the best we can.
Now that we’ve established that, you can click here to read more about the blog, my family, and me.
