These chocolate mocha brownies are perfect for an easy Valentine's Day dessert, no fuss potluck or a treat for yourself. They are super simple to make and taste amazing!
Chocolate Mocha Brownies
Decadent brownies with a hint of coffee. Easy, delicious and perfect for any time you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.
- 1 c chocolate chunks (dark)
- 1 c sugar (granulated)
- 1 c sugar (light brown)
- 4 eggs (large)
Dry Ingredients - Sift Together
- 1 1/4 c cocoa powder
- 1/2 c flour (self-rising)
- 1/2 tsp salt (kosher)
- 1 tbsp espresso powder (instant)
Wet - Mix Together
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 c butter (melted)
- 1/2 c vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 300° F.
Prepare an 8 or 9 inch brownie pan.
Chop bar of dark chocolate until you have about 1 cup of chunks.
Set chocolate aside.
Use an electric mixer (or whisk) and combine the eggs and sugar until mixture looks fluffy and is lighter in color.
Sift the dry ingredients and add them in.
Mix in the wet ingredients. Do not over mix.
Gently fold in the chocolate chunks.
Pour into pan and bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool before cutting.
Enjoy!
A dusting of powdered sugar on top of these brownies make them look and taste extra special. Serve with a dollop of freshly whipped cream and a few fresh berries to really kick it up a notch.
