Feeling tired, overwhelmed, and struggling to “get it all done”?
Grab a cuppa’ (or a glass of wine if you prefer) and let’s have a little chat. I get it. I have been there, done that, and still hang out there from time to time.
- Kids are hard work
- Running a household isn’t easy
- Trying to figure out homeschooling is another beast.
- Elementary school math somehow became more difficult than calculus
Then there’s figuring out what to fix for dinner!
Yes, my friend the struggle is real!
You being here tells me you want to know how to get it together, or at least learn to fake it until you make it.
Don’t worry…I’m here for you!
Think of me as your buddy for Margarita Monday. We can commiserate with each other over having to hide out in the pantry to eat chocolate. You can laugh at my Pinterest fails. We can cry together over our babies growing up.
Know what else?
I’m the friend who will be brutally honest and tell you there is no excuse for wearing the same yoga pants for a week straight and not showering for 3 days.
I won’t leave you to figure it out alone, though. I’m here with my 4 kids in tow, and I am going to help you wade through it all. I will share tips and tricks to help you manage your home, wrangle your kids with as few tantrums as possible, and I’ll even be sharing what I have found to NOT work.
Since we will be starting out on our homeschooling adventure, you will also bear witness to some of the ups and downs as we find our way. And hey, if you’re not a homeschooler, don’t think I am out of touch. Our big girl is in public school.
Wondering who I am?
I’m Callie. 30 something-year-old lover of books, house coats, and Dr. Pepper. Alabamian who ended up moving from the South to the Southern Hemisphere…New Zealand to be exact.
You guessed it! That’s how I came up with A Little More Southern and the short story behind the name.
I am married to an amazing man who cooks, cleans, and keeps the kids home when I travel. See why I happily moved to another country?
Four little people call me momma. The Big Girl is 10, The Middle Girl is 4, The Boy is 2, and The Baby is still a few months away from turning 1. Yes, we were a glutton for punishment and had 3 little doorsteps, but we figured why not. It wasn’t like we were getting any sleep anyway.
I’m not a stay-at-home mom, but I also don’t work full-time. A couple of days a week I toss on my uniform and head off to work as a nurse in maternity.
So there you have it! That’s me in a nutshell. If you’ve made it this far, I’m hoping you will stick around and get to know me a little better. I would also love to get to know you, so feel free to contact me anytime!
